Certified GYROTONIC® Instructor
Jean’s journey to GYROTONIC® movement began after a serious car accident when she was teenager. Her spine and head fractures left her with chronic stiffness, limited rotation, and loss of spatial awareness in her body for years. Jean struggled to find therapeutic exercises and a supportive environment that helped her rehabilitate her body and mind until she discovered the GYROTONIC® movement by chance. It was a life changer. She was immediately drawn to the “arch” and “curl” with spiraling exercises because it stimulated her to move and breathe in a mindful and effective way. After just one session, she was hooked because it helped her find more physical and mental balance. Not only did it make her feel tall and open, but it helped her with mental clarity. “You learn to trust your body, and it learns to trust you.” Jean eventually regained her mobility and balance through consistent movement practice, which has become an integral part of her lifestyle.
Prior to becoming a Certified GYROTONIC® Instructor, Jean had a successful career in commercial banking and commercial real estate for 21 years. She left her career to pursue her passion for teaching because she felt so inspired by the transformative results she experienced herself and has seen in others. Jean enjoys sharing her experiences and motivating clients with traumatic injuries to move more because movement is medicine.
